Octavian is a building energy and carbon reduction professional. He has been exposed to many aspects of the building industry from design to commissioning, helping building owners successfully navigate the governmental mandates for energy and carbon emissions reduction and with technical aspects of upgrading and maintaining their portfolio.

During his 25 years career, has supported commercial, institutional, and MURB owners. While serving as an Energy Manager at Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), he led and contributed to federal initiatives to cut energy use and operational carbon. Through Optibuild Consulting, he advises private-sector owners and community organizations on pragmatic, ROI-positive decarbonization. Optibuild has not provided services to the Government of Canada as a private client.
